Using Turn Off or Shut down

If you are not connected to a Windows® network server (domain server), power off the computer as follows:

To turn off the computer.1Click Start, Turn off computer.The Turn off computer window appears.Sample Turn off computer window2Click Turn Off.The computer turns itself off.

If you are connected to a Windows® network server (domain server), power off the computer as follows:

1Click the Start button, then Shut down. The Shut Down window appears.2Select Shut down from the drop-down list.3Click OK.The computer shuts down completely.

Turning off more quickly

In addition to the method described above, you can turn off the computer by pressing the power button.
