Stratagy ES System Software

Stratagy ES System Software

All of the Stratagy ES platforms run on Windows NT, with the iES32 running on Microsoft’s Windows NT 4.0 Embedded operating system software.

All Stratagy ES systems including the iES32 run the same Stratagy ES software designed exclusively by Toshiba. All processing functions are controlled through the use of Windows-based menus and icons that provide administration, configuration, diagnostics, system monitoring, and reporting functions.

Diagnostic Programs

On-line diagnostic tests for Windows NT/Windows NTE and Stratagy ES run continuously to detect and report errors in operation. The tests run in the background and do not interfere with normal system operation. Other diagnostic tests can be run upon demand, either locally or from a remote computer.

Stratagy ES/Windows NT Software Platform Configurations

Stratagy ES is ordered factory loaded with either Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 or Windows NT Workstation 4.0.

Because Windows NT Workstation is limited to a maximum of 10 network client licenses, Stratagy ES with Windows NT Workstation is recommended for:

Installations requiring large voice port capacities.

Advanced voice processing applications requiring the power of Windows NT but not requiring multiple network client connections.

Important! Toshiba does not furnish Windows NT or Windows NT embedded software for a Workstation to Server upgrade. Therefore, a customer’s requirement for future client-based features should be closely scrutinized before ordering a Stratagy ES with Windows NT Workstation.

The Stratagy ES running Windows NT Server is recommended for larger installations requiring communication with a number of client PCs on a network. For example, in UM multiple client PCs must have network access to the Stratagy ES to receive voice and fax messages on the PC desktop.
