Setting passwords

2On the left side, click the Optimize tab.

3Click the Hardware Settings icon.

4Click on the Password tab.

5Click on Register.

6Enter your password, and click OK.

7Re-enter your password and click OK.

8Click OK if you want to save the password to a text file on a diskette or media of your choice, or click Cancel to continue without saving the password to a text file.

9Click OK to exit.

Deleting a user password

To cancel the power-on password function:

1Click Start, All Programs, Toshiba, Utilities, and then TOSHIBA Assist.

The TOSHIBA Assist window appears.

2On the left side, click the Optimize tab.

3Click the Hardware Settings icon.

4Select Not Registered.

5Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the user password.
