To create a new dial-up connection

After a new standard modem has been set up on your PC, you must create a new dial-up connection.

1.On your PC, select Start > Settings > Control Panel.

2.Double-clickNetwork and Dial-up Connections.

3.Double-clickMake New Connection.

4.Click Next to continue.

5.Click Dial-up to the Internet.

6.Click Next.

7.Click I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN), and then click Next.

8.Click I connect through a phone line and a modem, and then click Next.

9.Select the Use area code and dialing rules check box.

10.Enter the telephone number as #777 and click Next.

11.Enter the user name and password you use to log on to your ISP and click Next.

12.Enter a name for this connection and click Next.

13.Select No when the installation wizard prompts you to set up an Internet mail account, and then click Next.

14.Click Finish to exit the wizard.
