SYMPTOM

l.Spark ignilor will not light after repeated lriggering of red butlon.

il. Pilot will not stay lil after carefully following lighting

inslructions.

POSSIBLECAUSE

A.Defeclive ignltor (no spark at eleclrode).

B.Defective pllot or misafigned electrode at pllot (spark at electrode).

C. No gas or loWgas pressure.

D.No L.P.in tank.

A.Defectivethermocouple.

B.Defectivevalve.

C.Pluggedburnerorilice.

D.Defectivethermopile.

CORRECTIVEACTION

1 . Check for spark at electrode and pilot; lf no spark and electrode wire is properly connecled, replaceignitor.

1 . using a match, light pilot. tf pllot llghts, lurn off pilot and lrigger lhe red button again. lf pllot llghts, an impropergas/air mixture caused the improper lighting and a longer purge period iq-recommendedll. pilot will not light - check gap at electrodeand pilot - should be 1/8 inch lo have a strong spark. lf OK, replacepllot.

1.Check remote shut off valves from fireplace.Usually there is a valve near the fireplace and sometimesthere is a valvenear the main. There can be more lhan one (1) valve betweenthe fireplaceand main.

Low pressure can be caused by

a variety of situations such as a bent line, too narrow diameter of pipe or even low line pressure. Check for kinked lines. lf none, consult with plumberor gas supplier.

1. Check L.P (Propane).You may be out of fuel.

1 . Checkpilottlame.Must impinge on thermocouple.Clean and or adiust pilol for maximumtlame impingementon lherrnocouple.

1 . Replacevalve . (it is not field serviceable).

1 . Check burner orifice for stoppageand remove.

1 . Replacelhermopile.
