Quick Setup

Table 3-1gives a quick overview of the Vision 90 installation process. The sections following this one provide detailed instructions.

Installation should be performed by a qualified custom video installation

Note specialist.

	1	Choose a location for the projector	3-3

	2	Connect signal sources to the projector	3-10

	3	Connect external controller to RS-232 port (optional)	3-14

	4	Connect other home theater components to 12-volt trigger	3-14
		outputs (optional)

	5	Apply power to the projector	3-14,4-1

	6	For rear-screen and/or ceiling-mount installations, select the	4-1
		proper picture orientation

	7	Lens adjustments: projected image size (zoom), position	3-7,4-2
		(shift) and focus

	8	Projector calibration: adjust the following for each input,	4-4through 4-10
		starting with Component SD; save settings when finished:
		• Aspect ratio
		• Brightness
		• Contrast
		• Color level
		• Tint
		• Input position
