Auxiliary heat is functional during the compres- sor lockout and can be used as needed to maintain room temperature.

COMPRESSOR LONG TERM CYCLE PRO- TECTION — If your system begins to operate too soon after an extended power outage, the compressor may be damaged due to crankcase oil temperature change. This thermostat has a built-in time delay of one hour less than the power loss (up to 12 hours). When power is restored to the system, heaters in the system will begin to heat the crankcase oils. The thermostat’s time delay will lock out the com- pressor to prevent its operation until the com- pressor oil is sufficiently warmed. During the lockout time period, the auxiliary heating sys- tem will operate to maintain setpoint tempera- ture.

For example, if a power outage of three hours occurs, the compressor will be locked out for two hours.

SYSTEM INDICATOR LIGHTS — The lights on the upper right part of the thermostat indicate system operation (see PARTS OF THE THER- MOSTAT for specific descriptions of what each light indicates).

PROGRAMMABLE BLOWER CONTROL — You may program the fan blower to run continu- ously during any given program period, regard- less of the cycling of the heating or cooling system. During programming, after entering the time and temperature for the time period, press
