Super Defrost Guide

NO.	FOOD	AMOUNT	PROCEDURE
1	Ground Meat	1 lb (.5 g)	At pause, turn over and separate into pieces. At end, let stand,
			covered for 3–5 minutes.
2	Boneless Poultry	1 lb (.5 g)	At pause, turn over and separate into pieces. At end, let stand,
			covered for 3–5 minutes.
3	Bone-In Chicken Pieces	2 lb (.9 g)	At pause, turn over, remove any thawed pieces and break
			remainder apart. At end, let stand, covered for 3–5 minutes.

NOTE: It is not necessary to enter the amount. Super defrost provides just enough defrosting that the foods can be used in recipes or for cooking. There will be some ice crystals remaining.

Auto Defrost Guide

NO.	FOOD	AMOUNT	PROCEDURE
4	Ground Meat	1/2–3 lb	Remove any thawed pieces after each stage. Let stand, covered for
		(230 g–1.4 kg)	5–10 minutes.
5	Steaks, Chops or Fish	1/2–4 lb	After each stage, rearrange and if there are warm or thawed
		(230 g–1.8 kg)	portions, shield with small flat pieces of aluminum foil. Remove any
			meat or fish that is almost defrosted. Let stand, covered for 10–20
			minutes.
6	Chicken Pieces	1/2–3 lb	After each stage, rearrange pieces or remove portions that become
		(230 g–1.4 kg)	warm or thawed. Let stand, covered for 10–20 minutes.
7	Roast	2–4 lb	Start defrosting with fat side down. After each stage, turn roast over
		(.9–1.8 kg)	and shield warm portions with aluminum foil. Let stand, covered for
			30–60 minutes.
8	Casserole or Soup	1–8 cups	After audible signal, stir if possible. At end, stir well and let stand,
		(240 ml–1.9 L)	covered for 5–10 minutes.

NOTE: Check foods when oven signals. After final stage, small sections may still be icy. Let stand to continue thawing. Do not defrost until all ice crystals are thawed. Shielding prevents cooking from occurring before the center of the food is defrosted. Use small smooth strips of aluminum foil to cover edges and thinner sections of the food.
