DC Cables

For the best load starting performance, the DC cables should be as short and large as possible. See Table 2-1for minimum recommended cable size. Using a smaller cable may cause the inverter to shut down under heavy load. A larger cable may be used.

DC Fuse and Disconnect or DC Circuit Breaker

If you are using a DC fuse and Disconnect, a maximum 80 amp Class T fuse shall be used for the DC fuse. A fuse of lower rating can be used, but it shall not be lower than 60 amp Class T. The Disconnect shall be rated at least 50 amps.

Additionally, a DC circuit breaker rated 50 amps can be used.
