Searching for a Number in Memory There are two ways to search for a number in memory. You can either scan
from A to Z sequentially, or you can enter the first letter of the name
associated with the number.

1Press the Search button, then press the Up or Down buttons to move
through the memory until you find the number you want.
Pressi ng the Down button allows yo u t o search d ownwar d t hrough t he
entire memory in alphabetical order (from A to Z), and pressing the Up
button allows you to search upward in reverse alphabetical order (from
Z to A) .
Each time you press the Down or Up buttons, the display shows the
next nu mber stor ed i n me mo ry.
While searching through the machine’s memory, you’ll see that each
entry is preceded by one of three letters: ‘T’ for One-Touch dial, ‘S’ for
speed, or ‘G’ for group dial number. These letters indicate how the
number is stored.
2When the desired number appears in the display, press the Start/Enter
button to commence dialing.
If a document is loaded, transmission will begin when the remote fax
machine answers.

1Press Search, then press the button labeled with the letter you want to
search for. A name beginning with the letter appears in the display.
For example, if you want to find the name MOBILE, press the "6"
button, which is labeled with the letters MNO.
