Software Installation Procedure

In Window s 3. x , Windows 95/ 98, or Wind ow s NT 4.0

1Make su re the X erox Wor kC entre 480c x is connected to yo ur comput er.

2Power off the WorkCentre 480cx by unplugging it from the wall outlet.

3Turn on your PC and start Windows.

4Power on the Workcentre 480cx by plugging it into a grounded wall

outlet.

5Insert the supplied CD into your computer’s CD ROM drive.

The Xerox WorkCentre 480cx installation program will begin.

If the prog ram does not s tart:

a) From the Start menu, select Run (Windows 95/98 an d NT 4.0) .

From the F ile menu of the Windows Program Manager, select

Run (Window s 3.x) .

b) Type D:\XINSTALL.EXE (where "D" represents the letter

designation of the computer’s CD ROM drive), and click OK to

start the installation program.

The Xerox WorkCentre 480cx installation program will begin.
