
3-10 Sending a Fax
Memory Transmission (Broadcasting)
With Memory Transmission (Memory TX), documents are stored in
memory and automatically sent to one or more remote stations. Use this
feature to send your documents to multiple locations.
You can store a maximu m of ten fax numbers for a memor y transmis sion. If
you need to send yo ur fax to more than ten locat ions, yo u can in c rease the
number of fax locations dialed by including a Group Dial number as one of
the ten numbers.
After sending, the documents are automatically erased from memory.
1Adjust the document guides to match the width of the document.
2Slide the document face down into the Automatic Document Feeder
until it is grasped and pulled into the machine.
If necessary, adjust the resolution and contrast. For details, see
Resolution on page 3-23 and Contrast on page 3- 25.
3Press the Menu b utton, then press the Memor y TX button on the One-
Touch key pad.
4Enter the t elephone number of the remote machine. There are several
methods available to do this:
Direct entry of the telephone number using the numeric keypad.
One-Touch keypad dialing of stored telephone numbers (see One-
Touch Diali ng on page 3-16) .
Speed Number dialing using the numeric keypad (see Speed
Dialing on page 3-19).
