5Press the Left or Right button repeatedly until you locate the desired
mode:
STANDARD - use with most documents.
FINE - use for documents with fine detail, such as small print.
SUPER FINE–use for documents that have extremely fine detail.
6Press the Start/Enter button to select the desired Default Resolution.
The display again prompts you to choose Resolution or Contrast .
7Press the Up and Down buttons or 2 on the Number keypad to enter the
Default Contr a st set up menu.
The current Default Resolution is disp layed.
8Press the Left or Right button repeatedly until you find the desired
mode:
NORMAL–use with documents of average or normal contrast.
DARKEN–use with documents with low contrast or light images.
LIGHTEN –use wi th docu ments w ith high contr a st or dar k image s.
9Press the Start/Enter button to select the desired mode. The Resolution
or Cont ras t setu p me n u sel e c t io n i s dis pl ayed.
10 Press the Stop button to return to Standby mode.
