Tray 2 or Tray 3 Jam with 2,000-sheet HCF

Clearing Paper Jams

Follow the procedure below to clear a paper jam from Tray 2 or Tray 3 when the specified tray is the 2,000-sheet High Capacity Feeder (HCF) and the Control Panel displays the message:

Tray 2 Jam-

Open Tray 2

or:

Tray 3 Jam-

Open Tray 3

1 Open the paper drawer (1).

2 Remove the Envelope Feeder if installed.

3 Open the printer’s front cover.

4 Remove the EP Cartridge.

5 Remove the jammed sheet of paper.

6 Replace the EP Cartridge.

7 Close the paper drawer.

8 Close the printer’s front cover.

9 Replace the Envelope Feeder if necessary.
