DISC OPERATION

IMPORTANT!

–If the inhibit icon ( or “X”) appears on the TV screen when a button is pressed, the function for that button is not available on the current disc or at the current time.

–DVD discs and a DVD receiver are designed with regional restrictions. Before playing a disc, make sure the disc is for the same zone as your DVD receiver.

–Do not push on the disc tray or put any objects other than discs on the disc tray. Doing so may cause the DVD receiver to malfunction.

■Basic playback

1Press STANDBY/ON ( ) on the front panel or

POWER ( ) on the remote control.

2Press on the front panel to open the disc tray.

3Place discs in the disc tray with the printed side up.

■General operation

Unless stated otherwise, all operations described here are carried out using the supplied remote control.

OPERATION BASIC

4Press h/eon the front panel or hon the remote

control.

→ The disc tray closes and playback starts automatically for all of the loaded discs in the tray in sequence.

5To stop playback, press son the front panel or on the remote control.

•To play back a specific disc directly, press

DISC SKIP repeatedly on the remote control or press DISC (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) on the front panel.

•Press PLAYXCHANGE on the front panel to open the disc tray, and then reload or unload discs without interrupting current disc playback.

•Playback stops after all discs have been played.

•When the disc tray is open, press

h/e, , PLAYXCHANGE or DISC (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to close the disc tray automatically.

Pausing playback

1During playback, press e.

→ Playback is paused and the sound is muted.

2Press eagain to select the next picture frame.

3To resume normal playback, press h.

Selecting a track/chapter•Press b/ aor use the numeric keypad (0-9) to select a track/chapter number

•During repeat playback of a track/chapter, press b / ato replay the same track/chapter.

Searching backward/forward

1Press and hold b/ a.

2While searching, press b/ arepeatedly to select the desired speed.

3To resume normal playback, press h.

Stopping playback

•Press s.
