■Selecting the XM Satellite Radio
search mode
You can search for the desired channel using one of the three search modes (All Channel Search, Category Search, and Preset Search modes). You can also enter the channel number directly to select the desired channel by using the Direct Number Access mode.
All Channel Search mode
1Press XM repeatedly until “XM RADIO” appears in the front panel display.
2Press SRCH repeatedly to select “ALL CH SEARCH”.
3Press CAT– ( 
)/CAT+ ( 
) repeatedly to change the channel category.
4Press CH+ (
)/CH– (
) repeatedly to search for a channel within all channels.
Category Search mode
1Press XM repeatedly until “XM RADIO” appears in the front panel display.
2Press SRCH repeatedly to select “CAT SEARCH”.
3Press CAT– (

) repeatedly to change the channel category.
4Press CH+ (
)/CH– (
) repeatedly to search for a channel with the selected channel category.
Preset Search mode
1Press XM repeatedly until “XM RADIO” appears in the front panel display.
2Press SRCH repeatedly to select “PRESET SEARCH”.
3Press CH+ (

) repeatedly to change the preset channel number (1 to 40).
Note
You can also select the preset channel number (1 to 40) directly by pressing the numeric key pads on the remote control.
Direct Number Access mode
1Press XM repeatedly until “XM RADIO” appears in the front panel display.
2Press SRCH repeatedly to select “ALL CH SEARCH” or “CAT SEARCH”.
