Setting the XM Satellite Radio

preset channels

You can use this feature to store up to 40 XM Satellite Radio channels. You can then recall any preset channel easily by selecting the preset channel number as described in “Preset Search mode” on page 44.

1Search for a channel you want to set as a preset channel by using one of the XM Satellite Radio search modes.

See “Selecting the XM Satellite Radio search mode” on page 44.

2Press PROG.

“PRESET” appears in the front panel display for approximately 5 seconds.

You must proceed to and carry out steps 3 through 4 while the “PRESETindicator is flashing in the front panel display

3Press CH+ ( )/CH– ( ) repeatedly to select the desired preset number (1 to 40) or use the numeric key pads to select the preset number directly.

“<CH> XX” appears (XX: preset number).

4Press PROG again to store the currently selected channel into the selected preset number.

“XX[channel number][channel name]” appears (XX: preset number).

Note

If PROG is not pressed within 5 seconds after you enter the preset number in step 3, this DVD receiver will automatically cancel the programing, and the last tuned station will be restored.

Displaying the XM Satellite Radio

information

You can display the XM Satellite Radio information (such as channel number, channel name, category, artist name, or song title) for the currently selected channel in the front panel display.

Note

If a status message or an error message appears in the front panel display, see the “XM Satellite Radio” section in “TROUBLESHOOTING” on page 49 for appropriate remedies.

Press DISPLAY repeatedly to toggle between the following XM Satellite Radio information display modes.

Channel number / name

Channel category

Artist name

Song title

Note

The front panel display can indicate up to 11 alphanumeric characters at once. If the information contains more than 11 characters, all the characters are scrolled once, and then the first 11 characters remain in the front panel display.

OPERATION TUNING

Deleting a preset station

1Tune into a station which you want to delete by selecting the preset number under which it was stored.

2Press and hold son the front panel or on the remote

control.

“<CH> XX DELTD” appears in the front panel display (XX: preset number). If no preset number is available, “<CH> 0 DELTD” appears in the front panel display.
