VENTILACIÓN

SÓLO INSTALACIÓN EXTERNA

Para la instalación externa con el casco de ventilación, coloque el calentador en un área adecuada y superficie no combustible. No instale el calentador debajo de alguna saliente con un espacio menor a los 3 pies (90 cm) desde la parte superior del calentador. El área debajo de la saliente debe estar libre por los tres lados.

¡IMPORTANTE!

Para la instalación externa es importante proteger el calentador del agua. Tenga un sistema de drenaje apropiado. Instale el calentador a un nivel apropiado para el drenaje de la lluvia.

Mantenga un mínimo de espacio como se le indica. Instale a 4 pies (120 cm) por debajo y 4 pies (120 cm) horizontales de cualquier otra entrada.

No instale el calentador a menos de 6 “ (15 cm) de cualquier valla o cerca, pared o maleza, o cualquier material combustible, ni a menos de 18 “ (45 cm) del área de las tuberías. Mantenga por lo menos 24 “ (60 cm) de distancia de la parte frontal del calentador.

¡IMPORTANTE!

Para colocar el calentador, considere que fuertes vientos lo pueden arrastrar contra paredes o construcciones cercanas. Trate de colocar el calentador por lo menos a tres pies de distancia de cualquier pared para minimizar daños.

Es inusual que debido a las condiciones predominantemente desfavorables de vientos se tenga requerir del uso de un kit de ventilación externa de tipo chimenea o equipo de ventilación externa de tipo chimenea (disponible a un costo adicional).

NOTA

No opere este equipo al exterior a temperaturas por debajo de 0o F. (-17°C) para gas propano y -20oF. (-28°C) para gas natural.

El Calentador MiniMax™ CH está estandarizado como una unidad externa. Instale el kit de ventilación externa:

1.Quite la cubierta protectora luego de quitar los tornillos para metal de 1/4 “ de todo el perímetro del gabinete.

2.Coloque el adaptador de escape sobre la abertura del colector de escape. Mientras tanto, coloque la cobertura superior del kit, con la etiqueta al frente del calentador. Coloque en el centro el adaptador de escape cuidadosamente dentro de la abertura de la cubierta superior del tubo de escape. Quite la cubierta superior y asegúrese que el adaptador de escape este centrado en el panel interno con los tornillos #8 x 1/2 “.

3.Coloque la cubierta superior, con el orificio para el tubo sobre la cabina del calentador.

4.Instale el tubo de ventilación a través del orificio en la cubierta superior, sobre el anillo superior del adaptador de escape.

5.Utilizando una broca de 3/32 “, coloque el soporte “L” para sostener la cubierta posterior y el tubo externo. Perfore los orificios del piloto a los orificios de soporte “L” para colocar los tornillos.

6.Asegure el tubo de ventilación y el casco interno con tornillos #8 x 1/4 “ para láminas de metal con los soportes “L”.
