4.3.2.21st / 2nd / 3rd Boot Device

These options determine the sequence of boot drives (floppy drive A:, hard disk drive C:, or CD-ROM drive) that the AMIBIOS attempts to boot from after AMIBIOS POST completes.

4.3.2.3Try Other Boot Device

Set this option to Yes to try other boot device. The settings are Yes or No. The default setting is Yes.

4.3.2.4S.M.A.R.T. for Hard Disks

Set this option to Enabled the S.M.A.R.T function for Hard Disks. The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The default setting is Disabled.

4.3.2.5BootUp Num-Lock

Set this option to Off to turn the Num Lock key off when the computer is booted so you can use the arrow keys on both the numeric keypad and the keyboard. The settings are On or Off. The default setting is On.

4.3.2.6Floppy Drive Swap

Set this option to Enabled to permit drives A: or B: to be swapped. The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The default setting is Disabled.

4.3.2.7Floppy Drive Seek

Set this option to Enabled to specify that floppy drive A: will perform a seek operation at system boot. The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The default setting is Disabled.

4.3.2.8PS/2 Mouse Support

When this option is set to Enabled, AMIBIOS supports a PS/2-type mouse. The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The default setting is Enabled.

4.3.2.9Primary Display

This option specifies the type of display monitor and adapter in the computer. The settings are Mono, CGA40x25, CGA80x25, VGA/EGA, or Absent. The default setting is VGA/EGA.

4.3.2.10Password Check

This option enables the password checking when the system boots up or runs CMOS Setup. It only takes effect after setting Change Supervisor Password.

Setup: This option will force system to check password before running Setup if you have already entered the current user password in “Change User Password”. By that time, the system will be only able to boot but deny accessing Setup.

Always: Password prompt appears every boot-up. The system will not boot and deny access Setup with invalid password. The best way is to clear CMOS or try to reload BIOS Setup to boot up system.
