PRINTER OVERVIEW

8.On-line/Off-line key Press this key to switch between the on-line and off-line modes. In on-line mode, the indicator light to the left of the key is lit. In off-line mode, the indicator light is not lit.

When in on-line mode, the printer accepts and processes print requests. When in off-line mode, the printer holds print requests in the print queue. The requests remain in the print queue until either the printer returns to on-line mode or power to the controller is lost. From off-line mode, you can access the Setup Menu. The Setup Menu allows you to perform a variety of utilities and diagnostics.

NOTE: The Media key is functional from both on-line and off-line modes. The power saver and rest functions apply to on-line mode only.

9.Numeric keypad This keypad contains digits 0 to 9, a period, and a clear key. The numeric keys are used for selecting menus and inputting values. The period is used for entering a decimal point. The clear key is used to clear the contents of an entry.

10. Language key

Press this key to switch between the primary and secondary

 

language for the message display. If no secondary language has

 

been installed, pressing this key causes no action.
