For BladeCenter units with four I/O-module bays, you must also install an Ethernet-I/O card (also known as an Ethernet expansion card) in the blade server to support the GbE switch module in I/O-module bays 3 or 4. For information about the types of compatible I/O-expansion cards for the blade servers, see the documentation for your BladeCenter unit.
