Attention: To avoid damage to the cable or the SFP module, make sure that you do not connect the fiber-optic cable before you install the SFP module.

5.Connect the RJ-45 cable and any cables you disconnected earlier. For more information about connecting the cable, see “Connecting the SFP module cable” on page 24.

Removing an SFP module

To remove an SFP module from the GbE switch module, complete the following steps:

1.Read the safety information beginning on page v and “Installation guidelines” on page 9.
