4.1.2 Testing the FOT-F3 Fiber Optic Transceiver

Two Ethernet node testers capable of generating valid data packets, such as the LAN-MD, are required for this procedure. Refer to Figure 4-1 and proceed as follows:

1.Using an AUI cable (2), connect a LAN-MD (1) to the FOT-F3 (3).
