Chapter 7: Local Management

7.1LOCAL MANAGEMENT KEYBOARD CONVENTIONS

All key names appear in this manual as capital letters. For example, the enter (return) key appears as ENTER and the space bar appears as SPACE bar. Table 7-1 explains the keyboard conventions used in this manual as well as the key functions.

Key

RETURN Key and ENTER Key

These are selection keys that perform

 

the same Local Management

 

function. For example, “Press

 

ENTER” means press either ENTER

 

or RETURN, unless this manual

 

specifically instructs you otherwise.

 

 

SPACE bar and BACKSPACE Key

These keys cycle through selections

 

in some Local Management fields.

 

Use the SPACE bar to cycle forward

 

through selections and use

 

BACKSPACE to cycle backward

 

through selections.

 

 

Arrow Keys

These are navigation keys. Use the

 

UP-ARROW, DOWN-ARROW,

 

LEFT-ARROW, and RIGHT-ARROW

 

keys to move the screen cursor. For

 

example, “Use the arrow keys”

 

means to press whichever arrow key

 

moves the cursor to the desired field

 

on the Local Management screen.
