Broadcast Storm Control

Use the Broadcast Storm Control menu to enable/disable broadcast suppression on a per-port basis. You can also set the packet-per-second threshold above which broadcast packets will be discarded. The parameters are shown in the following figure and table.

Parameter

Description

Filtering Status

Enables/disables Broadcast Storm Control for the port. When enabled,

 

broadcast packets are discarded if the threshold rate is exceeded.

Filtering Threshold

The threshold rate above which broadcast packets are discarded. The

 

default is 10240 packets per second. (Range is 1024 - 353,422 pps.)
