5-7 Adding PCI Cards

1. 64-bit PCI-X slot

The 5014C-MT has a riser card (p/n CSE-RR1U-X) designed specifi cally for use in the SC513L-260 1U rackmount chassis (included with the system). This riser card allows a 64-bit, 133 MHz (3.3V) standard size PCI-X card to sit at a 90 degree angle so it can fi t inside the chassis.

2. PCI card installation

The riser card has already been preinstalled into the motherboard. Perforn the following steps to add a PCI add-on card:

1.Remove the appropriate PCI slot shield by releasing the locking tab.

2.Insert the add-on card into the riser card.

3.Secure the add-on card with the locking tab.
