Standard CMOS Setup
The items in the Standard CMOS Setup menu are divided into several categories. Use the arrow keys to highlight the item you want to change, then use the PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN key to select the value you want for the item.
Date
The date format is day, month, date, and year.
Day | The day of the week, determined by the BIOS, is |
Month The month, Jan. through Dec. Valid values are 1 through 12.
Date | The day of the month. Valid values are 1 through 31. |
Year The year. Valid values are 1900 through 2099.
Time
The time format is hour, minute, and second. Hours are entered and displayed in a 24- hour format. For example, 1:00 p.m. is entered and displayed as 13:00:00.
Hard Disks
The fields in this category contain specifications for the hard disk drives that have been installed in the computer. In the TYPE field you can select from 46 predefined drive types, User, Auto, and None. All the predefined types are obsolete. The User option allows you to enter drive specifications manually. Selecting Auto in both the TYPE and the MODE fields enables automatic detection of IDE hard drives during
