lock

The lock command locks an outlet or group of outlets in the current state. The response to this command is a list of status lines, one per power port. This command works on all PM IPDUs in a daisy chain.

Syntax

lock all<outlet_string>

Arguments

<outlet_string> Outlet number, such as “5”, outlet name such as “sunfire”, or group of outlets such as “1, 3-5”

Examples

To lock outlets 1, 2, and 6, enter the following.

pm>lock 1,2,6

1:Outlet locked.

2:Outlet locked.

6:Outlet locked.

name

The name command names an outlet. A maximum of 16 alphabetic and numeric characters (not case sensitive) is allowed with these exceptions:

The hyphen (-), percent (%), and comma (,) characters are not allowed.

Numeric characters are not allowed as the first character of a name.

This command is available to the administrator user only.

Syntax

name <outlet_number> <name>

Arguments

<outlet number> Outlet number, such as “5”

<name> Desired outlet name

Examples

To name outlet 4 as nowhere, enter the following.

pm>name 4 nowhere

4: Outlet now named nowhere
