The on command turns an outlet or a group of outlets on. If more than one outlet is selected there will be an interval between outlets being powered on, the interval is defined by the interval command. This command works on outlets in a PM IPDU daisy chain.

Syntax

on all<outlet_string>

Arguments

all Turns on all outlets in the PM IPDU or PM IPDU daisy chain

<outlet_string> Outlet number, such as “5”, outlet name such as “sunfire”, or group of outlets such as “1, 3-5”

Examples

To turn on outlets 1, 3, 4, and 5, type:

pm>on 1, 3-5

1:Outlet turned on.

3:Outlet turned on.

4:Outlet turned on.

5:Outlet turned on.

passwd

The passwd command sets a password. The Administrator has a default password (pm8), which may be changed. Regular users may change or set only their own password. The Administrator may change his or her own password or any regular user’s password.

Syntax

passwd <user_name>

Arguments

<user_name> Name of the user whose password is being changed

no argument To change admin password if logged in as admin. To change <user> password if logged in as <user>
