To permanently save configuration changes, select 1, “Save,” from the selection menu, followed by <cr>. The DS72 responds:

IMPORTANT: This message reminds you to change the serial port configuration of the host terminal to match the new configuration changes made to the serial port on the host module before answering the question. If they do not match, the DS72 will be unable to interpret the next command, and you will be unable to access any connected unit. If this happens, recycle power and reconfigure the unit. Make any necessary changes to the host device before answering "Save Changes Permanently?"
If you have made necessary changes to the host device, type "Y" for yes, followed by <cr>. New configuration changes are stored permanently in
PORT DEVICE NAME Port Device Name is a user programmable feature that uniquely identifies the port (or device connected to the port) you are configuring. The default
name is EIA-232.
