Configuring SNA local node characteristics

Communications Manager Profile List Sheet

1.Select "SNA local node characteristics"

2.Select "Configure"

Local Node Characteristics

1.Set "Network ID" to, see worksheet ( 6)

2.Set "Local node name" to the number of your workstation (from the host)

3.Set "Node type"

If set to "End node - to network node server", then also define "Your network node server address” (hex)

4.Set "Local node ID" (the value for Local node ID should be supplied to you by your local network support manager) NOTE: Do not change the value X'05D' for the left-most field

of the local node ID.

5.Select "Options"

6.Set "Local node alias name" .

7.Select: “Activate Attach Manager at Startup ”.

8.Click on " OK"
