Installing the Drivers

The Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller (PERC) S100 or PERC S100 adapter require controller drivers to operate with the supported operating systems.

This chapter contains the procedures for installing the controller drivers for the following operating systems:

Microsoft Windows Server 2008

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2

NOTE: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 is not supported.

Installing the Microsoft Windows Drivers

Downloading the Controller Driver Media

1Go to support.dell.com/support/downloads.

2 Select Choose by Service TagEnter a Tag.

3Enter the Service Tag of the system on which you want to install the PERC S100 adapter/PERC S300 adapter drivers and select Go.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can select Choose a ModelSelect Model. Navigate to Servers, Storage, NetworkingPowerEdge Server. Select the model of your system and select Confirm.

4Choose the applicable operating system.

5Expand the SAS RAID Controller category.

6Select Download Now for the appropriate controller driver.

NOTE: Load a blank optical medium (CD-ROM or DVD) in your system.
