Connecting the AM and FM Antennas

This configuration shows the AM and FM antenna connections. The AM antenna should be a “loop” style antenna with two wires that connect into the AM ANTENNA receptacles. The FM antenna must terminate into an “F style” connector and has a 75 Ohm impedance.

Position the AM and FM antennas where reception is best. The AM loop antenna that has been included with the DMC-1 has been matched to the AM tuner for optimum reception. If you choose to use an outdoor FM antenna, please observe proper safety precautions regarding home wiring as outlined in the beginning of this manual.
