CHAPTER 5

For Smart Card Solenoid removal, proceed as follows:

Step 1. Remove the Rear Case (see Section 5.2.1), the Front Case (see Section 5.2.2), and the Bottom Plate (see Section 5.2.3).

Step 2. Remove the two fasteners holding the Solenoid, followed by the solenoid and associated Card Lift Bracket (see Figure 5-20).

Step 3. Remove the screw holding the solenoid to the Card Lift Bracket, and attach the bracket to the new solenoid.
