Chapter 5 Control Panel

Control Panel Keys and LEDs

The control panel consists of five keys and four LEDs as shown in Figure 5-1

The following table details each indicator LED function:

Indicator LED	On	Off
POWER	Lights when the printer is turned on. It flashes	The printer is turned
(green)	when paper runs out and during error	off.
	condition (See Appendix A)
ONLINE	Lights when the printer is online.	The printer is offline
(green)
HI-SPEED	Lights when the printer is in high speed mode.	The printer is in the
(green)	Flashes in super high speed mode.	letter quality mode.
COPY MODE	Lights when the printer is in COPY MODE 1.	The printer is in the
(yellow)	Flashes slowly when the printer is in COPY	normal mode.
	MODE 2.
	Flashes quickly when the printer is in COPY
	MODE 3.

NOTE

If you set the scale number of the lever position equal to or greater than 2 in the normal mode, the printer will transfer to the COPY MODE 1 as the current printing mode. However, the COPY MODE LED is still off.
