2.Panel PC 670/870 in a decentralized design Only applies to the operating unit:

+70° –20°

Vertical installation as well as deviations up to +70° to –20° in the indicated directions are permitted.

The installation position for the computer is described in Chapter 1.3.

Select the installation angle according to your own needs and continue to the next step to define the degree of protection.

Applies to both centralized and decentralized designs:

The degree of protection, which you decide on, is dependent on the type of fixation:

•Protection Class IP65

This degree of protection is achieved by fixing the operating unit by means of clamping saddles together with a seal running around the circumference.

•Protection Class IP54

This degree of protection is achieved by fixing the operating unit by means of screw mountings.

Select the degree of protection in accordance with the intended use of the equipment and, thus, the type of fixation. After having made the selection, chose the necessary installation cut-out.

Note

The Panel PC 670/870, 12" touchscreen is not designed for installation using screw mountings.
