This command controls whether or not the characters entered from your computer keyboard are echoed back to your monitor while the modem is in command mode.

E0:

Disables echo to the computer.

E1:

Enables echo to the computer (default).

On-line Data Character Echo Command

This command determines if the modem will echo data from the DTE.

F0:

On-line data character echo enabled (NOT SUPPORTED, ERROR).

F1:

On-line character echo disabled. (default)

Hook Control

This command instructs the modem to go on-hook to disconnect a call, or off- hook to make the phone line busy.

H0:

Modem goes on-hook (default).

H1:

Modem goes off-hook.

This command displays specific product information about the modem.

Reports product code.

Reports modem chip firmware version.

Performs a ROM check and calculates and verifies the checksum dis-

Monitor Speaker Volume

This command sets speaker volume to low, medium, or high.

Selects lowest volume.

Selects low volume.

Selects medium volume (default).

Selects high volume.
