Improving Resolution
The image quality of a document can be adjusted before it is sent as a fax.

Press the Resolution key.
Using the * and ) keys, select the fax resolution, and then press the Menu Select key.
" Select the resolution appropriate for the document.
-STD: For documents containing normal text (such as handwriting) (Standard)
-FINE: For documents containing small text
-S/F: For documents such as newspapers or those containing detailed illustrations (Super Fine)
-H/T: For documents with shades, such as photos (Half Tone)
If “H/T” was selected, a screen appears, allowing you to select a detailed setting (“STD”, “FINE” or “S/F”).
" The resolution returns to the default setting after the document is scanned with a normal transmission or after transmission after manual transmission. The default setting can be changed. This is useful for specifying a frequently used resolution setting as the default. For details, refer to “TX SETTING” on page 20.
Specifying a Recipient
The recipients can be specified in any of the following ways.
Direct dialing: Directly type in the fax number.
Using the
Using the Speed Dial function: Specify a recipient registered with a speed dial.
Using the phone book functions: List or search for recipients registered as
Using the Redial/Pause key: Specify the number of the recipient dialed last.
