Appendix D Dynamic IP Information Transfer

In such an environment where you have to be assigned with Dynamic IP as Cable Modem, you need separate method since users cannot know IP information. SNS-110 uses two methods to show the Dynamic IP information to users. One is to send IP information to the administrator’s email, and the other is to send the Dynamic IP information to the Administration server.

●For this function to properly work, SMTP, DNS, or Gateway have to be all properly set. When you cannot access through the browser, refer to the Appendix C and set at the console.

To send IP information to the administrator E-mail

When you are assigned with Dynamic IP through DHCP, you can send the assigned IP Address through email. When you cannot access through the browser at the first setting, use the following method to use the console.

Run the Boot Command Mode as explained in Appendix C, "Manual Configuration Mode" and choose "Change Boot Parameters" menu.
