1STANDBY/ON indicator
Lights in red when the power cord is connected and the unit is on standby. When the unit is turned on, the STANDBY indicator lights in green.
2STANDBY/ON button (25) Turns the unit on or off (standby).
3Remote sensor (22)
Receives signals from the remote control unit.
4Disc tray (25) Used to load a disc.
5 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) button (25) Used to open and close the disc tray.
6DVD AUDIO indicator
Lights when a DVD AUDIO disc is loaded.
7PROGRESSIVE indicator (17)
Lights up when the Progressive scan mode is active. It lights in green during playback of a

Indicates the current status of the unit.
9 4/¢ (SKIP) buttons (27, 51)
Used to skip a chapter, title or track. Also, used for the page selection of a menu screen (for Video CD). Holding down 4or ¢during playback reverses or advances playback rapidly (except MP3 disc).
0 7 (STOP) button (26, 51) Stops playback.
-3 (PLAY) button (26, 51)
Starts playback. Also, used as a SELECT button for PBC of Video CDs.
=8 (PAUSE) button (26, 51)
Pauses playback. Also, used to display nine continuous still pictures (STROBE function).
