TV RATING

(TV Parental Guidelines)

TV rating allows parents to block out programs they don’t want their children to see.

TV rating consists of the age labels and the content labels.

The following are the descriptions for each label:

	Age Label	Description

		Mature Audience Only :
		Specifically designed to be viewed by
	TV-MA	adults and therefore may be unsuitable
		for children under 17.
		Possible content label : L, S, V

		Parents Strongly Cautioned:
		Contains some material that many
	TV-14	parents would find unsuitable for children
		under 14 years of age.
		Possible content label : D, L, S, V

		Parental Guidance Suggested :
	TV-PG	Contains material that parents may find
	TV-PG	suitable for younger children.
		suitable for younger children.
		Possible content label : D, L, S, V

		General Audience :
	TV-G	Most parents would find this program
		appropriate for all ages.

		Directed to Older Children :
	TV-Y7	Designed for children age 7 and above.
		Possible content label : FV
