Glossary and Acronyms

ATSC:

ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) is the group that has been working to establish the standards for digital television broadcasting and digital television equipment - including both SDTV and HDTV.

Audio map:

Audio format and language outputs from a broadcasting station are stored in an audio-map. For example, when three language are available, the sequence below will repeat and the desired audio format and language can be set.

Audio output jack:

Audio output jack is located on the rear panel of STB and send audio signal to other device connected by a audio cable.

Autoscan:

AUTOSCAN is capable of receiving available channels, both analog and digital, and storing those channels in a channel map.

Channels once stored in a channel map can be selected using CH o / p buttons.

Component video output jack (Y/ Pb/ Pr):

Component video output jack is located on the rear panel of STB and provide superior picture to other connections. And you can select the video resolution by using the resolution selection switch.
