1OPEN/CLOSE O button*

Press to open or close the disc tray.

2ON SCREEN button

Press to display the on-screen display.

3Number buttons

Press to select channel numbers.

Press to select a title / chapter / track on the display.

Press to enter values for settings in the setting menu.

Press to enter the characters in edit function.

4CLEAR button

Press to clear the password once entered.

Press to cancel the programming for a disc.

Press to clear the selecting marker number in the marker setup mode.

Press to clear the program once entered in the timer recording setting mode.

5PROG/VIDEO Plus+ button

Press once to display the VIDEO Plus+ setting window.

Press twice to display the Timer Programming list.

6TOP MENU button

Press to display the top menu.

7ENTER button

Press to confirm or select menu items.

8Cursor U / D / L / P buttons

Press to select items or settings.

9 (CM SKIP) button

During playback, press to skip 30 seconds. (See page 38.)

10REC I button

Press once to start a recording.

Press repeatedly to start a one-touch timer recording.

11REC SPEED button

Press to switch the recording speed.

12REC MONITOR button

Press to check the video and audio quality before attempting to record and during recording.

13STANDBY/ON y/I button

Press to turn on or off the unit.

If timer programming is set, press to switch the unit to the timer-standby mode.

14SET UP button

Press to display the setting menu in stop mode.

15REPEAT button

Press to select the repeat mode.

16ZOOM button

During playback, press to enlarge the picture on the screen.

17PR(OGRAMME) +/- buttons

Press up and down to change the channel.

18AUDIO button

If you receive bilingual broadcast, or set “External input Audio” to “Bilingual,” press to change the AUDIO OUT setting to “Main,” “Sub” and “Main / Sub.”

Press to display the audio menu during playback.

Press to select the sound mode.

19MENU/LIST button

Press to display the Disc menu during playback.

Press to change the Original and Playlist on the TV screen. (VR mode only)
