28 Menu Bars

In addition to using the shortcut buttons on the remote to select features, you can use the Menu Bars.You can not access the Menu Bars during recording. When a Menu Bar is on the screen, press 8CH+, 9CH-,;, or : on the remote to select an item or to change the setting of an item.

The 98; : symbols in the Menu Bar mean more items are available.

Menu Bar 1

*Press SYSTEM MENU once to access Menu Bar 1.The following items are in Menu Bar 1. Depending on the Disc, you may not be able to access each item at all times. Only available features can be selected.

User Preference Settings Set your preferences for audio and video quality. Set up Languages,Access Control, Record Settings, Installation features, and other Recorder features.

Title Select to play a Title or Track. Use the Number buttons or 8CH+ or 9CH- to select the Title or Track you want.

Chapter Select to play a Chapter. Use the Number buttons or 8CH+ or 9CH- to select the Chapter you want.

Audio Language If the current DVD has multiple audio soundtracks, choose one here. Check the Disc case for details. See page 48.

Subtitle Language If the current Disc has subtitles, select a language here. See page 48.

Angle Select to choose a different camera angle, if available, during DVD play. See page 49.

Zoom Select to enlarge the picture by 1.33, 2, or 4 times the normal size during play. See page 49.

*While in Menu Bar 1, press : repeatedly to move to Menu Bar 2.

Analog Output Select d, then press 8CH+ or 9CH- to choose Stereo (st), or Dolby Surround compatible (sur). See page 50.

Frame-by-frame play Select for forward or reverse frame-by-frame play. Press 9CH-, then press ; or : to move the picture one frame at a time. See page 50.

Slow motion Select to slow the speed of DVD, DVD+R, or DVD+RW play. See page 51.

Fast motion Select to play a Disc forward or backward at four, eight, or 32 times the normal play speed. Press 9CH-, then press ; or : to choose a backward (-) or forward speed. See page 51.

Time Search Select to enter a specific time within the current Track, Title, or Chapter at which you want play to begin. See page 52.
