Once the GUIDE Plus+® System is operating, it will control the time and date of the Recorder. Until then, set the clock by following these steps.

After the GUIDE Plus+® System receives the clock data, it will override any earlier clock settings.You cannot change the time information once the GUIDE Plus+® System has set it.

 

Press SYSTEM MENU. Press ; to select

Press 9CH- repeatedly to select

menu. Press :. This is not always accessible under some GUIDE

Press 9CH- repeatedly to select Time/Date, then press :.

If the time already is set by the GUIDE Plus+® System, you will see a message

“Not valid to change; Valid data received via Guide.” You cannot change the

clock setting to override the time provided by the GUIDE Plus+® System. Press SYSTEM MENU repeatedly to remove the menu.

4 Press 8CH+ or 9CH- to choose Automatic or Manual, then press :.

5 date and Daylight Saving. Press ; or : to set each item

correctly. Or, press the Number buttons to quickly enter the time

in hours and minutes.

Press 8CH+ or 9CH- to choose PBS Channel, Daylight Saving, or Time Zone. Press ; or : to change the setting of each item.

For PBS Channel, choose the channel number of your PBS station, then press OK. If you do not know your PBS channel number, choose Auto. The Recorder will find the PBS station for you and set the time.

Turn Daylight Saving On or Off. Choose Auto if you want the clock set according to the PBS station’s Daylight Savings Time schedule. Finally, choose your Time Zone. If you want the Recorder to use the time zone from which your PBS station broadcasts, choose Auto. If your PBS station broadcasts from a different time zone than the one in which you live, be sure to select your time zone.

The Recorder can use the PBS channel to set the clock only if the PBS channel is memorized. To add (memorize) a channel, see page 33.

If you change any item manu- ally, PBS Channel will change to Off.
