Slow Motion

Start slow motion play simply by pressing the SLOW H button during play. Press SLOW H repeatedly to play the Disc at 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8 the regular speed. Press PLAY : to resume regular play.

Or, to use the Menu Bar for slow motion, follow the steps below.

1 During Disc play, press SYSTEM MENU.

2 Press : repeatedly to select H in the second Menu Bar. Press 9. Play will pause.

 

Press ; or : to select a speed: -1, -1/2, -1/4, or -1/8 (back-

 

ward), or 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or 1 (forward). The Disc will play at the

3 speed you selected, for example, one-quarter as fast as normal (1/4).

 

Select 1 to play the Disc at normal speed again. Select 0 or press

 

PAUSE k on the remote to pause the picture.

Searching

To search a Disc simply, press and hold Previous H or Next i for two seconds during play. Press repeatedly to change the search speed to 4, 8, or 32 times the normal speed, depending on the Disc type. Press PLAY : to return to normal play.

To use the Menu Bar for searching instead, follow the steps below. You can- not use the Menu Bar to search an Audio CD.

2 Press : repeatedly to select E in the second Menu Bar. Then, press 9.

3 Press ; or : to select a search speed: -32, -8, or -4 (back- ward), or 1, 4, 8, or 32 (forward). The search will occur at 4, 8, or 32 times the regular playing speed. Select 1 to play the Disc at normal speed again.

4 Or, press PLAY : to return to normal play.

5 Press SYSTEM MENU to remove the Menu Bar.
