Problems and Solutions Guide

Vehicle does not run | Undercharged battery | Charge the battery. A new battery should have been | |

| charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for |

| Check all connectors. Make sure the battery connector is |

| Charger is not working | There is no sure way to tell if your charger is working unless |

| service center. They can test your charger for you. |
|

| Wrong type or improperly installed fuse | Make sure that the battery has a properly installed |
|
|
| Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse before charging. For best |
|
|
| performance, do not use substitute parts. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Blown fuse | Make sure that the fuse in the battery is in good |
|
|
| condition. Remove the fuse from the battery and compare |
|
|
| it to the illustration on page 8 to see if it is blown. Replace |
|
|
| a blown fuse with a Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse. For best |
|
|
| performance, do not use substitute parts. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Loose wire or loose connectors | Check all wires and connectors. Make sure the battery |
|
|
| connector is tightly plugged into the motor harness connec |
|
|
| tor, and that there are no loose wires around the motors. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Dead battery | If your battery is old or if you have not followed BatteryCare |
|
|
| instructions, your battery may be dead. If you areunsure |
|
|
| whether or not the battery is dead, you can have it tested at |
|
|
| your local Power Wheels® authorized service center. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Electrical switch damage | The electrical switches can become corroded due to |
|
|
| exposure to water or moisture, or can jam due to loose dirt, |
|
|
| sand or gravel. Contact your local Power Wheels® |
|
|
| authorized service center for diagnosis and repair. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Motor damage | Contact your local Power Wheels® authorized service center |
|
|
| for diagnosis and repair. |
|
|
|
|
|
| Selector lever in FREEWHEEL position | Make sure the selector lever under the seat is set to the |
