Formatting the New Hard Drive

The new hard drive must be formatted.

If a new HARD DRIVE is detected, the system will prompt you to FORMAT the drive. If you do not choose to format the HARD DRIVE, the drive will not be detected by the system.

To format the new hard drive:

1.From the system prompt, press the Right Arrow key on the front panel to select YES.

2.Press the Enter key on the front panel.

Note: If you choose to FORMAT a drive in this way, the drive will no longer be

readable by a regular PC without using the HARD DRIVE VIEWER software included on the CD provided with this unit.

NOTE: Do NOT turn off the System while the drive is formatting. This can cause problems with the Hard Drive.
