To remove protection from all files stored in the memory card

9 Press + or to select “CANC.ALL”, and press

8Press + or to select “DELETE”, and press SET/ SELECT. The Sub Menu appears.

To delete the currently displayed file

SET/SELECT. The PROTECT screen appears.

10 Press + or to select “EXECUTE”, and press

SET/SELECT.

To cancel selection, select “RETURN”.

Deleting Files

Previously stored files can be deleted either one at a time or all at once.

“CURRENT”, and press SET/SELECT. The DELETE screen appears.

10Turn the SHUTTLE SEARCH Ring to the left (3) or to the right (5) to select the desired file.

11Press + or to select

“EXECUTE”, and press

SET/SELECT.

To cancel deletion, select “RETURN”.

Repeat steps 10 and 11 for all files you want to delete.

1Load a memory card. ( pg. 16)

2Set the VIDEO/MEMORY Switch to “MEMORY”.

3Set the Power Switch to “P” while pressing down the Lock Button located on the switch.

4Open the LCD monitor fully, or pull out the viewfinder fully.

The type of file (IMAGE, E-MAIL CLIP or SOUND) which has been played back at the last time is displayed.

If you want to select another type of file, go to step 5.

If not, go to step 7.

5Press SET/SELECT. The MEMORY SELECT screen appears.

6Press + or to select the desired type of file, and press SET/SELECT.

7Press MENU. The Menu Screen appears.

If the “” mark appears, the selected file is protected and cannot be deleted.

To delete all files stored in the memory card

9Press + or to select “ALL”, and press SET/ SELECT. The DELETE screen appears.

10Press + or to select “EXECUTE”, and press

SET/SELECT.

To cancel deletion, select “RETURN”.

NOTES:

Protected files ( pg. 27) cannot be deleted. To delete them, remove protection first.

Once files are deleted, they cannot be restored. Check files before deleting.

CAUTION:

Do not remove the memory card or perform any other operation (such as turning off the camcorder) during deletion. Also, be sure to use the provided AC Power Adapter/Charger, as the memory card may be corrupted if the battery becomes exhausted during deletion. If the memory card becomes corrupted, initialise it. ( pg. 30)
