Panasonic WV-NS324 operating instructions ALC Mode with BLC on, ALC Mode with BLC OFF

(1)ALC Mode with BLC ON

In normal use, the important object in a scene is placed in the centre of the monitor screen. When set at the factory, more photometric weight is given to the centre of the screen than to the edge of the screen (where bright backlight would most likely be located). In such a case, the object at the centre of the screen can be still clearly seen even though the backlight may vary.

1.Press the CAM (SET) key after selecting ALC. The ALC CONT menu appears.

2.Move the cursor to the BLC and select ON.

4.Move the cursor to RET and press the CAM (SET) key to return to the CAM SET UP menu. To return to the camera picture, press the [F4] button.

(2)ALC Mode with BLC OFF

This mode is effective when the main object in the scene is not located in the centre of the screen but a source of bright light is located near the centre of the scene. In this mode, the picture is divided into 48 areas that mask the light to keep the clarity of the picture.

Note: The result of field setup of the mask area and level adjustment is fed back (effected) to the lens iris control in ALC mode.

1.Move the cursor to the BLC and select OFF. When you select MANUAL, BLC is not avail- able. MASK SET appears on the menu.

2.Move the cursor to MASK SET and press the CAM (SET) key. The 48 mask areas appear on the monitor screen. The cursor is blinking in the top left corner of the screen.
